Week of March 27, 2015
Hello, I am working with Karelia Juarez and Jacqueline
Garcia, and for our first film we have decided to do a narrative film. Our situation is different as a result as one
of our members is not in the same film period, however we are able to get work
done. Right now, Karelia and I are almost done with the script, and Jackie is
almost done with the storyboards. We are working hard and have decided that we
might be able to start filming either over the weekend or start next week Monday.
Most of our actors are ourselves plus maybe a little help of certain family
members. We seem to be doing well cause all we need is to start rehearsing our
lines, to be able to begin our film.

What Music Means to Me
I’m probably the only one maybe in this class, who isn’t hung
up to music. I am not addicted to music or listen to music so much. What’s crazy
to me the most is that the only time I really listen to music is when I’m
driving to a place, and it is usually not that far. However, the music I do
listen to is more laid back. I would like to say I’ll listen to anything, but
as Mr. Lansdown pointed out, you can’t really enjoy everything, but in the most
part I would listen to a variety of music. This is because I don’t really go
into detail with lyrics, but if I like the beat and what it says ill enjoy it. As a person, I like experience new
things and I think that is why I have only been to one music concert, and that
was because the ticket was free! Otherwise, I probably would have not gone.
Every since I could remember, music for me is just a relaxer; I know others can
relate or play music to express themselves, but to me when I listen to it just
relaxes me. I like sing-along to the hit songs on the radio, or dance around to
the music with beat, but regardless I wouldn’t consider music my passion or something
I go home to every night. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a music hater I do enjoy
music and do like listening to it, and I will occasionally have earphones if I feel
a certain way and want to escape the world and listen to music, but other wise I
don’t really listen to music, in my opinion I feel like I could go a day
without listening to music and I would be fine, maybe not the whole time but I could
survive a couple of days with no music.

Problems and Struggles.
Many people endure many problems
and struggles that can lead to many decisions, good or bad. Here in bell high
school, students can face many problems. In our community, we can face gang
related problems, financial problems and even family problems. Many students
from bell have their own struggle, but the ones that seem more common are the
ones that people don’t have sufficient money, there house is to small, they don’t
have maybe a parent in their life, and maybe that they need to work to provide
for themselves. Many problems don’t
have to be severe; there can also be the struggle of getting to school on time,
having no transportation to school. Academically, students might struggle in a
particular subject or are not doing well in classes, or aren’t okay with there
test scores. The might also struggle in their sport, managing their time, doing
their chores at home, or helping out by maybe babysitting. Holistically,
students face many problems; we might also have the problem of bullying.
Students in bell high school are bullied, or maybe don’t have any friends and
sit alone, that is a struggle even though it might not seem like it. However,
many students in my opinion have embraced their struggles and problems and are doing
well and that what makes them who they are. (:

The Most Interesting Person In the World!
In my short lifespan, I haven’t really met someone who is really interesting
and has many elements to make them interesting. However, someone I can keep a
conversation going with even if we see each other everyday, is my cousin Nelly.
She is now attending UCSB, and I find her interesting because we could go hours
talking about anything that comes to mind, like school, boys, parties, trips,
family, absolutely anything. She is those type of people that can make you
laugh and can keep a conversation going. Not only is she a good talker, she is
very responsible and like the rest of my cousins we keep in contact. My cousin
and I have shared many different experience, so when she comes and visits we
can just talk about what she is doing and college and how she is doing, and I can
talk about school and what is happening in LA. She lives with her friends in
SB, and its pretty cool how whenever she wants, she can throw a party, and she
is independent, and if we miss her to much it is just a 2 hour drive and we can
visit her. I think we get along so
well simply because we are only two years apart, and she tends to know my
friends and I know hers. Just with my other cousins, we are all really close,
but maybe because she lives farther and comes to visit; I can keep a
conversation going because she and I have so much to share.
