My Anti Drug

My Anti- Dug, has to be either swimming or baking. Many people don’t know this about me, but I love to swim, not competitive, because I did competitive swim for 2 years and it killed! I like to swim freely and for choice. I love being able to just jump in the pool and swim for however long I want or just soak up the sun and be able to relieve my stress. My experience in competitive swim was not bad at all, but I didn’t like they I had to compete, and do well or swim under a certain time. I like the liberty of being able to swim whenever I want for however long. Another anti-drug I have is baking. Many people don’t know but I love to bake brownies, cakes, and even cupcakes. I love trying new things or different recipes. When I’m bored, or tired, or in a mood to celebrate, ill bake something to share. I enjoy this because there is no right or wrong as long as it tastes good. I can be as creative I want and who doesn’t like something sweet during the day. It not only relives my stress, but makes others happy.

Inconvenient Truth

In an Inconvenient Truth the story is eye opening. While watching the film, I learned that Al Gore is very concerned with the rising climate changes. Throughout the film we see different diagrams and I learned how many factors come to play as we hurt mother Earth. I also found it very interesting to learn that although we don’t have the most amounts of people, we are the top producer in damaging earth. There are facts that if we keep polluting, and the climate changes worsen, that many of our cities around the bay will be under water. In this fill, it not only advised people to take care of earth but of the different risks that can happen if nothing is done. The film took place a while back, and its crazy to know that in the year 2015 there isn’t a significant difference, and we find ourselves in a drought. The powerful film from Al Gore puts global warming into perspective, allowing me to learn that as a person with not much power, anybody can help and do things. The film also shows then and now and how we can see glaciers almost are gone and how as people we can make a difference.  The film is kind of outdated, which makes me wonder if earth has improved since these films came out, and if it influenced the audience.
